Some estimation says that 80% of primetime television programs are focused on the entertainment sector. Other statistics says that the expense of Spanish families is growing up faster that the first necessity goods. Yesterday, I read on the newspaper that the Spanish televisions broadcast more than 12 soccer match a week.
The conceptual background to describe this object comes from some thoughts founds in a book written by Spanish philosopher called Vicente Verdú where he talks about the endless entertainment society.
This object talks about the entertainment society with which the State have find to replace the expire religions and with which they tries to keep submitting and control us.
A daily object that helps you to keep playing whenever you want.
This object pretends to be a reflection about the entertainment society where we are submitting and with which “they” try to control and tame our society. Worrying us to fun eternally, they manage to make us feel free from the hollow prompted by the fall of the religions, which promised us life after death. If we left the resurrection idea, we discover that we only live once, so we must enjoy it on the real time. This is the main way that the markets have found to reach that we don’t stop consuming. Don’t think, just play!
